I recently started reading about Stoicism. A philosophy dating back to the Roman and Greek times. In essence it teaches that life won’t go as you expected, and therefor you should expect exactly that. It doesn’t have a lot of complicated theories, rather is more hands on.
This is my limited view on Stoicism so far, as I haven’t really read up on anything. My plan is to start with Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and The obstacle is the way Ryan Holiday. Although meditations is an older book, and available for free, I am curious to see if it still holds value in today’s world.
I am still planning on posting reviews, summaries and findings of the books I read. Stoicism, and other philosophies, seem like a nice addition.
